The Monkeys and 1TM Latini played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon in a game that, it’s probably fair to say, wasn’t one for the neutrals. The first half ended 0-0, with Celso and Addy both drawing decent saves from the 1TM keeper for the Monkeys. Duplo and his quick strike partner kept the defence on its toes at the other end but Eros, Harry, Phil, Anton and Ivan mopped up any danger without too much trouble. We came out with a bit more purpose in the second half and got the breakthrough after a quick break down the left. The “returning” Ivan showing his Cosmo quality with a inch perfect ball in and Addy could hardly miss for 1-0. Unfortunately the lead lasted all of about 2 minutes, as Duplo (OF ALL PEOPLE) rose highest from a corner and nodded in the equaliser. Both sides pushed for a winner in worsening weather conditions but it finished 1-1 with both sides probably feeling they could’ve nicked it.
