Different week, Same result

Hibs conceded a late equaliser to the reigning Champions in a really good game. Hibs took a while to get going and once they did An Rui had a great chance when he harassed the last man and got clear, but he dragged his shot wide. Julio then had a good chance on his weaker foot but his effort also went the wrong side of the post. Sharples had a great chance when a flicked cross caught Nick out but he tried to lob all 8 feet of Colin and predictably failed to as it drifted over. Ruffles hit the post with a great effort on the angle but Hibs defended well and were a threat. The second-half saw Hibs taking a bit more control with Maayan prominent and the midfield playing well and it lead to the goal. A Johan free-kick was swung in and a mix of Julio, defender and GK squeezed the ball barely over the line as the assistant gave the goal. Unfortunately a TGA player came off pretty badly meaning he left the game after a delay and all at Hibs hope he is okay. The goal woke TGA up and they played with urgency with plenty of time left in the game. Sharples was predictably the main threat and he shot wide from an angle but Col was not being bombarded as Boycey, Shaz and Panda defended well. The last 10 minutes were pretty much all TGA and successive corners lead to a cross Col could only finger-tip to Sharples who was lurking at the back post and he scored with 3 minutes left. There was still time for Thorin to work himself a half chance and TGA to hit the post but a draw was fair in the end. MoM was Fraser for TGA and Shaz for Hibs. Brad had a very good game in the middle (thanks for not playing advantage to TGA a couple of times though! Haha)

Rangers came into this week hoping to avoid conceding 3 goals in the first 15 minutes again. The first half was not exactly full of chances but Hibs had the 1st good one when Rangers dallied on the ball in our own final 3rd but the Hibs Striker will be disappointed as he dragged his effort wide. Ruffles was unlucky not to score as he caught a shot well which rattled the post. The best chance of the half fell to Sharples who for some reason thought trying to lob the 7-foot keeper from inside the box was the best shot selection. Hibs were well organised and set-up with a narrow formation which Rangers tried to work around through using the full backs. The killer pass was however lacking and chances were few and far between. Into the second half and Hibs scored first a free kick pass that evaded everyone, struck the post and bounced out as JC tried to clear off the line. Beatts was hurt in build up and had to come off with a bad shoulder/collar bone injury. Jordan had earlier had to come off with an injury. Rangers not having much luck with the injuries this season! Rangers pushed on for the equaliser creating one or two chances and were eventually rewarded for our efforts as the ball fell to Sharples and he lifted it into an empty net from a tight angle. With not much time left and fatigue kicking in, Rangers pushed on for the winner. What looked to be the golden chance fell to Aaron who lifted the ball past the Hibs keeper only for the ball to agonisingly strike the post and bounce out. All the best for the rest of the season to Hibs.
