Rangers, when will they ever look to learn. Scoring 3 in seasons gone by would be a victory. Conceding 4, dearie me. Less said the better. Take nothing away from Vikings though, clinical in front of goal. We came back strong at the end but it was not to be. I don't really want to say much more. Congrats Vikings. Rangers - come on. 3 important points

After a heavy night out and about for most the cosmo team and with the knowledge we were in lack on 5 guys from previous game some of the Vikings had probably hoped for a cancellation after the thunderstorms around 2pm. As many times before the sun came out ad made it bloody hot. Luckily we were facing a 1700hrs game against Rangers where we never have an idea of their strength on the match day. Vikings strategy would be to shoot a little more than normally where we sometimes prefer to dribble the ball over the line and often fail to test the keeper. Besides that to keep the lines in order and don’t allow to large gaps here. Vikings started out unimpressed against number 3 in the league and actually played surprisingly well in periods in this 1st half – Rangers allowed bit of play and that actually suited us just nice and in particular on counterattacks we looked dangerous. Leslie was on fire for once and after some 25 minutes he had scored 3 goals. All similar recipe – fast counters, one touch and karambaaaaaaa – he has hit the target. Rangers scored at 2-0 on a direct freekick where Roberts view was blocked. In absence of all the keepers in the club Roberts stepped up and besides looking a little shaky at some incidents, actually he did very well. Eskild did the same in a new position for him as well in the centre of the park. 2nd half Jesper had a screamer of a long shot (finally) – 4-1 vikings. We knew we still had to be dangerous as Rangers has Sharpless who can fast turn around a game like this. Vikings failed to score/create bmany more big chances, and sharpless scored a beauty after hitting the posts a few times. 2-4 and Vikings started to look more tired than the opponent who pressured hard at this stage. With 5 min to go Rangers scored another goal on a corner where Vikings once again failed to mark. Hopefully we can mark our direct opponent better in the coming Vikings cup. Final score 4-3 to Vikings who could finally breathe again and finally take another victory after last games disappointments. Well done all over chaps. Thanks to Rangers and Refs team for a hardfought game but in decent spirit. MoM went to Leslie after 3 nice goals – well done but compliments to the whole team for their hard fight.
