Good game

Solid lineups for both sides and a good game of football. very competitive first half with the monkeys having more posession but limited to shots from distance. GK comfortably dealtwith them. Second half we played some good stuff and created some chances, Benji headed over when it looked easier toscore. We eventually got the lead when Ichi came in on his right foot after nearly addy pass. The Japanese samurai smashed it in from 15. Given the pace of the game we might of thought that would Be it for goals but hotspurs immediately upped the pace and got players forward. A cracking bullet header got them level from a good cross. FAIr draw, thanks for the game HB captain harry

All Square Under the Friday Night Lights

Hotspurs took to the field on Friday night eager to make amends against an APM side who won this fxture convincingly earlier in the season. The game started at a high tempo, with APM making slightly better use of the ball- closing their opponents down well, and peppering the Hotspurs area with a few long-range shots and crosses. The sides went into the break level though. The second half continued much like the first, but with Hotspurs holding the ball much better in possession than they had done for the first 45. It was APM who broke the deadlock though with a smart finish from 'Ichi' from just outside the area with 15 minutes to go. Hotspurs responded in great fashion however, with Man of the Match Joel Carpenter, solid as a rock all game, meeting Lawro's inch-perfect corner with a bullet header- cannoning it in off the underside of the crossbar. Final score: 1-1- amazingly Hotspur's first draw of the season, and one they will be very happy with. Thanks to APM for a good game as always, and on to SCC next week...always a test!
