Week 8 Round Up! Hotspurs Secure First Win

Singapore FC returned to the top of the Cosmoleague on goal difference after a Shotton hat trick helped them to a 5-1 win over Nippon. That makes it 5 league wins on the spin for the newly formed club - with an impressive goals scored tally it seems likely that they are the ones to chase over the first half of the season. Olympique Gaulois slip to second place despite winning 3-2 and achieving their early season double over Aioli. Hotspurs picked up a vital 3-1 win over GSAS, this their first 3 point haul of the campaign. After reading the match report it seems like Hotspurs displayed better teamwork and fine finishing. The result ensured that Hotspurs leapfrog Gaelic and no longer fill the unenviable position of the leagues bottom side. In the only other game over the weekend Vikings and Hibs played out a highly competitive game under the lights at Turf City. Both teams started the game on equal points but a brace from Mele helped the Scandinavian outfit to a 3-0 victory. This leaves Vikings poised in third position with Rangers a point further adrift in fourth.
