Week 4 Round Up! Goals Galore

Well what a weekend that turned out to be, an absolute goal fest! 29 times the back of the net rippled in the five fixtures that were played. Rangers kicked off the free scoring frenzy on Friday night with a 3-0 victory over Aioli, this being the visitors 3rd straight defeat under lights.  Rangers appear to be gaining momentum after their slow start and move to second in the league. For the Monkeys they will take a week off before aiming to get things going against a Hotspur team next time out. A Thorin Duffin brace helped Hibs defeat 1TM 5-0 at TTS and ensured that they maintained their unbeaten start to the season. It seems that the men in green have set their sights on not leaking goals; their defence having the best record so far after only conceding a couple. In the early Saturday games at Turf City, Nippon cruised to a 5-2 victory over their German & Swiss counterparts while OG inflicted further goal difference misery on Gaelic Lions after scoring 5 without reply. We hear a Gaelic player suffered a severe leg injury and couple of the GSAS team sustained injuries with all requiring hospital treatment, we wish them a speedy recovery. Hotspurs, despite starting brightly, had a day to forget when they suffered a heavy 8-1 defeat at the hands of Singapore Vikings. Ales Melechovsky took his seasons total to 7as he weighed in with 4 goals, an excellently converted free kick the pick of the bunch.

With the F1 circus entering town, next week sees a reduced fixture list of only 3 games. A full schedule resumes the following week as all but one of the teams will be in action.
