And we’re off....

Here we go again, and another season is upon us and kicked off. Players and managers all over the island singing from rooftops, delighted to no longer being strong armed into pointless shopping trips with their better halves. 

Anyway, four fixtures on show last weekend, with the standout game on paper, being TGA vs Latini. It certainly didn’t disappoint and without question one for the neutral. End to end action and goals galore! Hattricks, brace’s and controversy, it had all the makings of an unforgettable match on opening day. The game ending 4-4.

The newly formed SFC, with some all too familiar faces began their first Cosmo game against The Gaelic Lions. The notorious Ciaran McGoldrick back at the helm, great to have him back and I’m sure many us are looking forward to those legendary match reports. SFC announced their intentions putting six past the Lions and with it sending out an early message. 

Aioli got off to winning ways against the enigmatic FC Nippon on a very hot day at turf city. Harry Shaw grabbing the winner for the Monkeys. Both teams no doubt will be tough to break down this year.

The final game saw GSAS vs Hibs on turf city pitch 1. The game ending in stalemate and a share of the spoils.

The Vikings kick off their season against OGS, should be a cracker. Hotspurs begin their campaign against Nippon.
