All to play for....

A great weekend of football. Match of the Day cameras were at Turf City where John Motson said the Gaelic Lions were outstanding and mauled the TGA Rangers 3-0 in a somewhat  surprise scoreline. No doubt TGA  will bounce back with intent.  Casuals picked up a useful Friday night win over Hibernians and their young players are shaping up rather nicely.  Hotspurs led twice against Nippon but had to settle for a 2-2 draw in an exciting encounter.  The surprise package of the season so far has been the combined German/Swiss warriors who defeated the Vikings 2-1.  We are trying to get an interview with the Manager of Olympique Gaulois who after their summer splash in the transfer market were considered title contenders.  Much like West Ham they have flattered to deceive but no doubt they will click soon and move quickly up the table. Latini beat them 4-1 and look to have a strong spine to their team this year and will be tough to beat.  I witnessed an absorbing clash at Dempsey with the pitch in the best condition i have ever seen.  SCC and Aioli PM  drew 0-0 but the match had everything and was a credit to the Cosmo League and a very fair result in the end and while the banter was candid, the handshakes and camraderie at the final whistle are what this great league is all about.   Let's all rememer to produce quality match reports and follow our guidelines on the rating of referees and remember the job they do is one of the toughest and demands our respect at all times.   Graham
