Well done to SFC whom keept playing and pushing to the end of the game. After a strong first half with some unfortunate gaols against us, we lost our pace in the second half and eventually the result was 4-2 to SFC. Well played all the best for the rest of the season.
With many of SFC’s regulars away on the afternoon we faced a Vikings team we knew were going through a rebuilding themselves. Thanks to SFC’s deep player pool we were able to put out a quality side and put together a strong 90 minutes and eventually wore down the Vikings. Goals from Malcolm, Ataku, Dan Bennett and Akil supported the team effort mantra as 3 of the 4 scorers were defenders on the day. Mele had a wonderful Freekick effort to keep the match close but in the end SFC’s ball retention and movement did the trick and we were able to secure the 3 points. Best of luck to Vikings for the remainder of the season.
