Hibs picked up their 3rd win in 4 under the lights with a come from behind win. OGS opened the scoring in the second minute of the game when a partially cleared cross was swept in from the edge of the box. Hibs eventually woke up and got some control of the ball and Bolts continued his goal scoring run with a header for his tenth of the season from Will’s corner to equalise. Hibs created a few chances as they exploited the high line of OGS. Max scored his first Cosmo goal as he neatly rounded the keeper and found the empty net after great work from Julio to press and steal the ball and play Max in to the oceans of space. Max then played in Sergio in similar fashion and he did the same thing as he skipped by the ‘keeper and passed the ball into the empty net for a 3-1 lead with 10 left of the half. OGS threatened but Bill had a quiet half in general. The Hibs stopper was much busier in the second half as OGS went up a gear and Hibs lost their way and the battles across the pitch. A bit of pin-ball saw the ball hit the Hibs bar and Bill palmed away some long-range shots. Hibs lost Julio to a cut but Jamie and Boycey dealt with the majority of their defending well and only Sergio had a chance in the half but he lifted it over. Bill pulled off a stunning save as time drifted into the final stages. A ‘Zidane style’ volley from the edge of the area was dipping in but Bill was equal to it and tipped it over. OGS did deservedly score in the final minute as cramp hampered Boycey in the cover and the squared ball was finished for a final score of 3-2. MoM was Jamie, who was at his best, and the right winger was OGS’ main threat so takes the award for them.
19 players missing for this game and until the last minute we struggled to assemble the squad but finally managed to line up a competitive team. Game started well with JB quickly finding the net on a nice cross from Robin on the right side. Unfortunately our usual 2-3 mistakes per game again resulted on 3 goals conceded. 3-1 at half time…. We came back much stronger and got the balls for the entire second half. Unfortunately we could not score the second goal until the 90th minute were Valentin pushed the ball in the net after and confirmed his amazing Ratio goals / minute played! With one last game to play our ranking is more or less finalized finishing this transition season at the 7th place. Well done to the Hibs and good luck for the podium race Farewell to two of our youngster, Ewan and Robin returning to France. You will be missed guys!
