TITLE DECIDER

Friday Night Lights and the third and final game against SFC was being dubbed a title decider as whoever came out winners would move into the ascendancy in the race for the Cosmo League title. 1TM were also keen to make it 3 from 3 in the head to head trilogy After a strong start by SFC in which they hit the bar with a great chipped effort, 1TM began to settle into a rhythm and played with good intensity with and without the ball. In that spell, 1TM created a couple of half chances and went into the drinks break happy with our performance. The wind was knocked out of our sails through an absolute rocket of a strike from Shotten that flew into the top left corner leaving POB with no chance. From that point, we lost a bit of rhythm and probably tried too hard and were too direct in our play in order to even up the scores. Both back lines played really well in such a physically demanding contest that there weren’t too many notable chances to describe. Despite our huffing and puffing, we couldn’t break through a stubborn SFC defence and they ran out winners. Well played SFC. We will endeavor to dust ourselves down and try to finish the season strongly.
