FLAT WHITE DROGBA

Another wet Saturday and another chance to earn 3 Cosmo points. This time our opposition was the Germans, who, despite their league position, have the ability to cause problems particularly in the early stages of games. 1TM started well by winning key duals all over the pitch and creating a few half chances. The deadlock was broken from a corner as Dev lofted one into the box for Flat White to head powerfully into the goal. 1-0 Our second came from the penalty spot after the linesman correctly spotted Tinks being tripped in the box and Sharples despatched the rebound after his initial effort was well saved. HT 2-0 1TM continued to play with tempo and energy and managed the pitch, which was beginning to flood in wide areas, very well. Our third came after tenacious play from Snail as he weaved and battled past 3 players and then cut back for Tinks to have a simple finish. 3-0 More good work out wide, this time from Sharples, who charged to the touchline and then squared to Flat White with another good finish to get his second and 1TM’s fourth for the afternoon. 4-0 The final goal of the day was when we played some of our best football. The Germans played a ball into the box which was dealt with by the colossal pairing of Frando and Didge. We then broke with Tinks playing it wide to Snail and Snail played in Flat White. Flat White broke into the box and cut back for Duplo who took his goal well. FT 5-0 A deserved win and we move onto another tricky tie next week against Hotspurs. Bottom vs Top of Table match without surprises

A good match took place this Saturday despite the bad weather between the GSAS and Latini. The first 20 minutes was for GSAS a little bit difficult but they were holding on. Even if the other team had the complete control of the ball, GSAS didn't leave free spaces and defended well with a great fighting spirit. At the 25 minutes, it appeared that GSAS were having a hard time and the opposing team, Latini, took advantage of it in provoking a corner they have transformed in front of the immobile GSAS defenders. The goal didn't discourage GSAS. They started to take more risks in front and pressed the opponent really high. This attitude led to few opportunities that were not concluded. Unfortunately, just before the end of the first half, latini won a penalty. Even with a fantastic first save of the goalkeeper the striker followed and scored. In the halftime, the coaches knowing the superiority of the other team gave GSAS a new target, not to concied an another goal. The instructions were not met because the team concieved 3 more goals in the second half. The outcom was inevitable due to the great latini players that were controling the midfield. Final score 5-0.
