End to End

A great game for the neutral as goals were flying in at both ends with the scores poised at 5-4 heading into the final 10 minutes. Kike put on a masterclass to score a further two goals late on as we pushed for the equaliser. We got off to a great start taking a 1-0 lead early on after Mike broke through and clipped the ball over the keeper. OG came storming back with Kike pulling the strings and Ous and Remi causing all sorts of problems down the left. Some clinical finishing saw us 3-1 down before Rich spotted the OG keeper off his line and scored a brilliant goal from around the halfway line. We conceded yet another goal early in the second half before Nathan responded with a header from a great cross from Hiro. 4-3 and in the ascendancy, we were once again caught cold by a fast OG counter attack as a rebound was tapped in to make it 5-3. Mike pulled one back with a penalty following a handball to make it 5-4. In between all this, we hit the bar/post about 3 times, missed an open net and hit plenty of shots straight at the OG keeper. Remi and Kike on the other hand clearly had their shooting boots on and finished us off with some clinical strikes, Kike with the goal of the game at the end twisting and turning before chipping our 'massive' keep Dousby from outside the box. Good luck for the rest of the season lads.

As always vs TGA, a very offensive and close game, with this time a lot of goals on the score sheet. Game remained uncertain until the last 5 min when Kike scored 2 goals to seal it for OG. As always a very poor start from OG, and Sharples made the best of it by scoring the opener in the first 2min. After that OG reacted really well by pressing high and playing some good football. Remi got the equalizer after a good move between Kike and Ouss on the left for a back pass to Remi for a 1 touch finish. 2nd goal came 5min later when Hugo dispatched a good opener for Remi that gave the lead to OG. Kike from a very nice touch managed to score the 3rd goal on the half hour mark before TGA reduced the gap from a beautiful goal from the midline. 3-2 HT. Clearly this was meant to be a very offensive game with a lot more goals to come so we knew that we will need at last 1 or 2 more to get the win. 2nd Half was very even but OG got the 4th goal from Ouss on a 2nd shoot. Chase was on. TGA got a 3rd one to close the gap once more from the penalty spot. 4-3. Remi gave another 2 goal lead from a 2 shoot too before TGA once again got 1 back. Hiro crossed the ball that was headed onto the keeper but could not slow the ball enough that slowly got into the goal. 5-4. Rangers pushed during the last 15min dominating the possession as OG got tired. But ultimately on a lost ball from the center back, Kike rushed into goal to gave us another 2 goals lead. In the dying minute Kike again got his hat trick with a nice lob from outside the box. 7-4. A flattering scoreline as the game was really close and even during 90min. But OG managed to be a bit more clinical. Well done to Alex (the ref). He controlled the game really well, and despite the intensity of the game and challenges gave no yellow card.
