No Nay Never

We arrived at Turf City on Saturday night And met with the Gaelic who were ready to fight 1-1 was the score and nobody won Except for the referee who spoiled the fun No way ever No way Mele wouldn’t score If we’d played the Czech striker We never would draw We pushed and we toiled without much success And gifted the first goal with a terrible mess We quickly regrouped and started to play But nothing, oh nothing was going our way No way ever No way Mele wouldn’t score If we’d played the Czech striker We never would draw We got ourselves even with a goal of our own A finish from Laken who was all alone Groans from the green bench and signs of despair But alas the refs whistle was the signal for air No way ever No way Mele wouldn’t score If we’d played the Czech striker We never would draw The rest of fixture it came and it went With chances for both sides who showed their intent No goals were conceded so it ended a draw Dismay for the Vikings who felt real sore No way ever No way Mele wouldn’t score If we’d played the Czech striker We never would draw Congrats to the Gaelic for a tough afternoon We look forward to clashing again real soon For us we’ll regroup and we never will stop And hopefully challenge the teams at the top No way ever No way Mele wouldn’t score If we’d played the Czech striker We never would draw

Report

Denmark can be windy.

The average wind speed is a breezy 13 miles per hour (5.8 m/sec). During Hurricane Allan on October 28, 2013, record-breaking wind speeds of 88 miles per hour (142 km/h) and gusts of 119 miles per hour (193 km/h) were registered. Amazing, I think you'll agree. But not as amazing as something else that happened on Saturday, the Lions obtaining a point against confirmed bogey team, our friends the Singapore Vikings! Denmark is reported to be the happiest country in the world but there was nothing happy in their demeanor when the Lions took the lead through Liam 'Ricky' Martin simultaneously opening the scoring and opening his personal Lions account when he scored a goal. I didn't see the goal, I was picking my pesky missus up from the airport, she was away for three weeks and instantaneously becomes a massive irritation literally the second she is back in the country. Vikings equalized quite shortly after that. I didn't see the goal, I was picking my pesky missus up from the airport, she was away for three weeks and instantaneously becomes a massive irritation literally the second she is back in the country. It was a good game, Lions had their moments, Vikings had their moments, the ref had his moments - oh how we laughed! A blatant penalty for the Vikings was waved away in the last few moments to seal the draw as the touchline wagged its collective heads. Thanks to the Vikings for a good game. Best of the luck for the upcoming games.
