Tough Cup battle

Another tightly fought game against a spirited Hotspurs team. With both side desperate to get some silverware from this season the game was very tight from the start. Both teams did not create much in the first 45 min. The Lions took the lead early in the 2nd half when Matt made a brilliant run onto a through ball that split the Hotspurs defence. As he tried to round the keeper the keeper managed to get a hand to the ball, which broke loose for Butters to slot home (not sure what he was doing that far up the pitch), 1-0 Lions. Hotspurs fought back and equalized with about 15 minutes to go. Lions had the better of the chance towards the end of normal time but the Hotspurs keeper made some excellent saves. with both teams giving everything during extra time there were very few chances created and penalties it was, which Hotspurs won 5-4. Well done to Hotspurs and good luck for the final.
