On the beach?

A disappointing performance/result from our penultimate league game vs a well organised Nippon side. We trailed 1-0 at the break after a pretty even 1st half where we actually played some good football and Raver rattled a self-won penalty against the cross bar. We struggled in the 2nd half and Nippon deservedly won the game really, scoring 2 goals on the counter before Duplo scored a neat free kick with the last kick of the game. Thanks to Nippon for the game. Semi next week, need to buck our ideas up. Thanks to Yuji and Tak for coming down

FC Nippon won against 1TM Latini FC by the goals from Uchida, Sugimoto and Tachibana. At the beginning, 1TM Latini FC tried to build-up the passes from back line but FC Nippon continued press from forward and defenders had cut out the passes. FC Nippon’s first chance came in the 15th minute when Uchida delivered strong shot to the goal. The goalkeeper couldn’t catch the ball and FC Nippon forwarder Kira attempted to shot the loose ball. But the ball didn’t go in to the net. In the 22nd minutes, FC Nippon took the lead when Uchida stroke the ball into the corner of the goal from outside of penalty box. In the final minute of the half, 1TM Latini FC had opportunity for equalizer when they awarded a penalty, but the ball hits the crossbar, and FC Nippon finished the first half 1-0. Despite the very hot condition of the pitch, FC Nippon kept their intensity in the second half and boosted the attack. Sugimoto and Tachibana added goals and FC Nippon extended the lead to 3-0. Free-kicks and corner-kicks from 1TM Lanini FC were always danger for FC Nippon, and FC Nippon’s clean sheet was denied by the strong shot by 1TM’s free-kick at the last minute of the game. Man of the match goes to Uchida who scored important first goal of the game. Sonehara and Kira showed their quality and played hard for 90 minutes at their first game as the FC Nippon player.
