Time to go home to my house in Ireland where I come from

Hi everyone! It’s me! James Flynn! The gaffur aloud me to right this week’s match report becauz I am going to home to Ireland where I come form! I am always crying about this but my wife is Claire and she is making me go. I will need to find anuther teem to play for when I get back to Ireland and I can’t play for the Lions anymore because it will take too long to get heer and I will miss the match. We had lots of really good players for the game and one of them was my bruther Paddy! I tried really hard to score some goals but Hibs had a goalie and he kept savng my shots. We took some nice pictures before the game and I smiled like Claire tells me too. Thanks for being my friends while i was living in Singapore! I love the chicken rice!

Where’s Maayan?

What looked like a very strong squad on Friday night suddenly turned into a scramble for a team on Saturday morning. A Friday night ankle-roll, a Pitchero f*ck-up, and Maayan getting detained by the Ministry of Defence left us with 11 players. We still don’t know what’s happened to Maayan. Thorin ended up coming down and playing on his ankle anyway, but 12 players in the 3pm sun is a tough slog, and we were hanging on by the end of this one. The first half was fairly even without many chances for either team. Gaelic had the best one. Nic – flown in from Hong Kong to solve our keeper crisis – stuck out a foot to save a certain goal in a one on one. We occasionally looked like getting in behind their defence, but it never quite came off – the ball either holding up or scooting on just when we didn’t want it to. We were limited to a few half chances from corners and one shot from the edge of the box that would have caused some trouble if it wasn’t right at the keeper. In the second half the Lions were firmly on top. We had a few moments – Mark being stopped by a last ditch tackle the main one – but it was Gaelic who should have gone in front several times. Nic was on fantastic form and their strikers did us a few favours. Not sure how close the Gazza-esque flick-over-the-head-and-shoot effort was, but it looked pretty good from where I was. In the end, we were happy with the point. It’s definitely better than losing 9-0. The next step is getting a full squad together. MoM for us was Nic. Special mention to Mark C, who Nic declared his favourite ever Hibs centre back at the post-match pint. It was very emotional, and a little bit pathetic. Mark has to move to London now, and it was a solid final performance from him. Better than Flynner’s anyway, so we gave himthe MOM this week ( should be Stephen Moran really for a solid show at left back)
