1TM vs OG, outside title contenders or a battle for bronze…..? Most likely the latter but either way this match up was a proverbial HUMDINGER! Tally made a couple of alterations from the impressive win versus TGA with the Wardrobe duo of CFD and Scoop came into the already strong line up. (*note - Digit in Borocay this weekend seeing what the Filipinos have to offer in terms of his+her tattoos.) The opening exchanges saw the woodwork rattled at either end of the pitch; 1st a 20 yard toe punt from OG smashed the outside of 1TM’s post then minutes later Duplo saw a rocket of a strike come off the underside of OGs bar and off the goal line! 1TM-Latini then took the lead after a lovely slide pass from Scoop into the path of Duplo, who slotted into the bottom near corner. 1TM really should have been 2-0 up at the break after a dazzling move which saw back to back pirouettes from E and Scoop bamboozle the OG backline only for Scoop’s shot to be straight at the OG keeper. HT 1-0. OG came out with the bit between their teeth 2nd half and brought the game to 1TM, after a couple of early scares things were level after a gift of a goal from a quick free-kick which Latini weren’t switched on for. Kike found Petr Cech who dispatched past POB clinically into the far corner. As the temperature seemed to get ever hotter so did the challenges, the game turned into an end to end battle as things opened up with both sides going for the win. But it was to be OGs day from another gift of a goal; the entire 1TM team stood and spectated a pass through to the offside Remi…. Who in turn left the ball well alone and it was Kike who went and collected it unopposed before squaring it from the unmarked French Winger to tap into an empty net…. FT 1-2. Good win on a contested match. Latini took a deserved lead after 20min and a sloppy start from OG. Rahul in goal saved us couple of time to keep us in the game. We woke up in the 2nd half by playing more on the ground rather than long ball. It paid off as we turned the game over first from a free kick quickly played by Kike to Mat who later managed to beat POB in goal. We took the ball thanks to Its who managed to find Kike in the space who passed the ball to Jorge while facing the keeper for him to finish in the empty goal. 2-1. Thanks Latini for a thought but very fair play game.
