Mark Hadlow Hotspurs will be delighted to claim their first win of the season against a Hibs side who have been getting some great results recently. Hotspurs had a decent first half, going in to the break 2-0 up with goals from Tiny and Patrick, and as Hibs pressed to get back into the game in the second half, Hotspurs were able to add a few more goals courtesy of Jack, Nick K and JD. That certainly wasn't the end of the story though, as Hibs scored 3 (very nearly 4!) goals in a crazy last 15 minutes, during which, it would be fair to say, the nerves of claiming that first victory of the season nearly got to Hotspurs. 5-3 it finished - Hotspurs earning the 3 points on the day. Thanks to Hibs for a good game, and into the CNY break we go looking forward to putting a run together.

--A 5-3 scoreline flattered us in the end. WIth less than 10 minutes to go we were 5-0 down after one of our flattest performances of the season. We knew Hotspurs weren’t the usual bottom of the league side and that it would be a battle, but still just weren’t up for it enough. The final flurry sparked a bit of Hotspurs panic, and we almost had a fourth but for a linesman’s flag. They held on though, and deserved the win.
