Xmas Presents

Cosmo football is back! A lot of excited 1TM-Latini faces arrived at Turf on Saturday for our 2019 opener versus Hotspurs. The Xmas break brought gifts for all and luckily Tally’s managerial headache was being softened somewhat by his brand new West Brom Snapback (available exclusively at the baggies Megastore.) Digit’s fake Adidas Predators (available exclusively at Dagenham market) were a big talking point in the pre-game chatter, unfortunately they never made kick off after failing to impress in the warm up. POB’s brand new gloves that Santa bought him were indeed working and the big man pulled out a very sharp early stop from a Hotspurs corner to keep the scores at 0-0. There was speculation that Duplo had received an Alvaro Morata ‘how to finish’ DVD in his stocking after the forward spurned 3 golden opportunities (albeit after some very impressive wide play from the young lad.) Just as it had ‘that feel’ about the game that it wasn’t to be our day, we went in at HT 1 goal to the good after a Duplo strike Rick O’shea’d off CFD and kindly fell for Lego to slot home from close range. HT 1-0. The 2nd half continued as the 1st ended really, Duplo still causing havoc down the left resulting in him cutting in on his right and unleashing a low drive into the near post from 25 yards. 2-0. We resisted some Hotspurs pressure as they ramped up their efforts to get back into the game, POB commanding his box and the defence very well to keep a shutout. We made it 3-0 at the death after some initial good work by Takuro San which resulted in him releasing Ethan down the left; Ethan (who received a new haircut for Xmas btw) outrageously looped one over the keeper from an acute angle. FT 3-0. Good to be back and even better to be back with 3 points and a clean sheet to boot. Cheers to Hotspurs and all the best for the remainder of the season. Thanks to Scoop, Team Pizza and Team Jacob for coming down to support. MOTM 1Tm Latini – Ethan MOTM Hotspurs – JD DOTD - Duplo for his early stack on the ball… haha..! classic..! Tough Start to 2019

Dusting off the cobwebs after Christmas and New Year is never easy, and Hotspurs weren't quite ready to hit 2019 running on Saturday against a strong Latini side. A deserved 3-0 win for Latini, and some good football in patches from Hotspurs desite some clear rust from the holiday period. On to the cup next weekend against SCC.
