Feliz Navidad

1TM-Latini wrapped up 2018 by storming to a 6-1 victory vs Nippon over a scorchio turf city. Nippon struck extremely early to take a 1-0 lead with a looping strike that POB almost kept out with an outstretched arm. It took us 20 mins or so to get going but we levelled things when Pep rose at the back stick and connected with a beauty of a cross from E. We then went into the HT break one goal to the good after some neat play between the Townsend brothers with Lego rolling home into an empty net. HT 2-1. Nippon came out strong 2nd half but we kept them at bay until the water break and held onto the 1 goal advantage. Squad depth then played the pivotal factor in the game with Tally having 5 sets of fresh legs to bring on, 5 sets more than Nippon. E notched the decisive 3rd after a nice ball from Duplo then the flood gates opened somewhat. Duplo scored a brace either side of a 20 yard strike from Hugo. FT 6-1. Thanks to Nippon for the competitive game and look forward to the reverse fixture. Thanks for team Pizza, Boneless Fish and his Dad, Phil and Devon for all coming down to support. MOM 1TM-Latini – Digit, commanding performance in his more favoured center half position. MOM Nippon – no.12. KIT – LTG BALLS – Lozza

At the end of boiling hot weather...

This match was supposed to be the last of the first half in this season. (There will be another one against Casuals which was suspended on next Friday.) Back to this match, we had been having a trouble in lack of members. In addition, we received a sad news that Kakimoto, who was our top scorer, couldn't join just one hour before the match. So we only 11 played against 1TM-Latini without any changes to aim for 3 points. Within 1 minute from Kick off, Seiji Tachibana fortunately got a goal with Ikeda's assist 1-0. Owing to it, we were able to be calm down and try getting more goals. The distance between defence and midfield was so tight. FC Nippon went to take a ball with high pressure. Thus there were some lovely combination passes, switch side and building-up until 25 minutes had past. we regretted missing 4-5 great chances of score at that time. After water break, the opponent aggressively pressed us and got lost-ball. Their quick counter attackes connected to their 2 goals in 10 minuts(1st by No.4, 2nd by No.11). 1-2 2nd half was so difficult to endure for FC Nippon. we were exhausted and could not keep discipline. On the way to final third of Latini, our possesion was easily interrupted. We actually did a few careless fouls and got in danger by ourselves. On the other hand, they did some changes to activate the team and move in cooperation. we still fought for win but allowed 4 more goals from their quick and corrective counter as similar as first half. The game was over as 1-6 to the end. Thanks to 1TM-Latini for your fair play and also Referee for your fair decision. We are apologized to our many tackles. To aproach your position, we will learn from your football to support each other. MOM for you is No.23 in Midfield. MOM for us is Daisuke Nanai of Center-back. We have to forcus on the next match at UWC. Thank you.
