Report

After a long summer which involved Raver pounding Fort Canning steps, Tally scouring the transfer market and 1TM-Latini losing heavily in pre-season friendlies we were ready to get the Cosmo season underway against Hotspurs on Saturday. After a bright start we took the lead through a Petshop penalty after Ethan was brought down in the box by the outrushing Hotpspurs keeper, 1-0. The remainder of the 1st half was mostly spent by Ethan taking corners. “More of the same, let’s keep it tight” was the message at HT, 2 minutes into the 2nd half it was all level. A long looper of a throw in found its way onto Peps shin in the 6 yard box and then into the back of the net. 1-1. Pep made amends not long later though; this time sticking the ball in the oppositions net after connecting with another Ethan corner. 2-1. Hotspurs applied some late pressure in search of an equalizer and almost got it with the last play of the game; however we scrambled our way to a win and 3 points. Good support down to watch from Tard, Oli, team Ethan, team Pep and LTGs ferret. Cheers for Hotspurs for the game and good luck for the season. A Tough Start

It's always a good game against Latini, and Hotspurs were raring to go on Saturday after a good pre-season. Things didn't start well however after Latini were very softly awarded a penalty in the opening minutes, which they promptly converted to make it 1-0. Hotspurs equalised early in the second half from a Lionel long throw, but conceded 15 minutes before the end directly from a corner. Ultimately a game which could have gone either way, and Hotspurs will feel hard done by not to get something from it. Congratulations to Latini on a solid start to their campaign.
