A nice 2-0 win against a strong Nippon side to end the season at Turf City on Saturday. Nippon started the stronger of the teams, keeping the ball well and pressing Hotspurs where possible. It was 0-0 at half-time on a sweltering afternoon, but Hotspurs managed to break the deficit shortly after the break with a neat finish from Guy. Lawro added the second with a smartly-taken free-kick, and Nippon were unable to claw their way back into the game despite some good pressure in the closing stages. A great way to wrap things up in what has been a mixed season for Hotspurs. The squad now look forward to a well-earned break (and transfer windo of course!) before business gets back underway in August.
This game was the last one of this season, so FC Nippon`s motivation was very high and we aimed the victory even though our place wasn`t changed depite of wining/lose. 1st half: We dominated the game and created lots of chances but we blazed over many times. If we could have scored even one chance, the result would become different one, however, Hotspurs`s defence was also decent. 2nd half: They finally broke the deadlock by their first chance in 2nd half(0-1). After that, there were several opportunities for FC Nippon to score but again couldnt get through. Then, Hotspurs scored by FK (0-2). Although FC Nippon showed fighting spirit till the end of the game, the game was over at 0-2.
