Rainy Day Blues

Saturday 3pm KO at Turf City against Latini and another downpour greeted us on arrival. With KO delayed as the water drained there was a real end of season feeling to the game, even though Hotspurs still have another 2 games remaining that pushes our season well into June. With the Tuesday PH both sides had a few irregulars in their starting 11’s and pretty bare benches. As such the first half ended 0-0 with good chances at both ends, Hotpsurs really should have done better with a couple and gone into HT with a lead. Latini stepped up at the start of the second half and scored 3 in a 15 min spell that left Hotspurs to spend the rest of the afternoon searching for a consolation that never came. Still 2 more games to come for Hotspurs as most other teams are already on the beach, but we need to find a strong finish against the Swiss and Japanese. Congrats to Latini, as always a game played in good spirit and with some nice football.
