3 point Friday

We turned up for Friday Night Lights (FNL) against an out of form Hotspurs. We knew they were on a bad run, but also capable of turning us over. A super strong 16 man squad was in place with 3 special returnees: Beattie returned after 6 weeks out, Dani returned after 2 years out and Dez donned the gloves with professor POB away on a field trip. A recurring theme this season is a super quick goal in a 1TM Latini game. Thankfully this time was in our favour. After a jinking run and a beautifully weighted pass from Tommy, the Duplo express bore down on goal and steered us into a 1-0 lead. Super Duper! 1TM Latini dictated play for the majority of the first half with Duplo coming close on a few other occasions, notably a cannon against the post but the score remained 1-0 at the half. HT 1-0. 1TM Latini came out very strong in the 2nd half and played some of our best football of the season, however we could find our finishing boots and a combination of the woodwork and Hotspurs keeper kept us at bay. For all our good football the 2nd goal came in fortuitous fashion. An over hit cross from the right from Pep ended up finding its way into the net. 2-0. The third came shortly after when the returning Dani bamboozled the keeper by the corner flag. A clever turn and followed by a slot from a tight angle made it 3-0. A strong performance all round. A week off then TGA Rangers up next to finish the 1st half of the season. Thanks to Hotspurs for the game and good luck rest of season. MOM 1TM Latini – Tommy edges it from Pep for an assured performance at LB. However, Raver is confident of getting the nod from hotspurs… MOM Hotspurs – JD. DOTD – Ruben for his 1 minute cameo and not knowing what the score was. Kit and Balls – Mat Harding Big thanks to Nick and Abdul for coming down to support

Merry Christmas...

It has been a difficult few weeks in the Hotspurs camp in terms of results, and Latini weren't in the mood to take any prisoners on Friday night either. A changed but solid Hotspurs squad took to the field, but going 1-0 in the first moments of the game really didn't help the cause. Latini were well-organised and strong in possession throughout, and although Hotspurs were still in the game for the first half, Latini ran out clear and well-deserved winners in the end. Good to see some of the new signings getting a decent run-out at the very least, and congratulations to Chris on his man of the match. On to the Christmas break now, and we'll be raring to get back to winning ways in 2018!
