Hotspurs fail to cook on GAS

Hotspurs crashed out of the Plate at the quarter final stage despite a spirited second half display against the Germans. Unfortunately for Tom Greene's men, a listless performance in the opening 45 minutes left them with too much to do. Hotspurs were already two goals down before Lawro curled home a long range free kick after Ali Roseburgh drew the foul. However, GAS regained their two-goal cushion before Nick Kouvaritakis handed Hotspurs a lifeline with a fine strike from outside the box. Despite their efforts, Hotspurs were unable to restore parity, and must now concentrate on fighting for a fourth place finish.
