This used to be a big fixture with historically the 2 most successful clubs in the Cosmo however whilst SCC have continued with their trophy hunt and free sports memberships Casuals form has fluctuated somewhat however appear to be a good cup side. A strong squad assembled and whilst performances over the past few weeks haven’t been terrible we knew we needed to turn those performances in to points. Half time came and we were 5-0 down. Can’t remember many of the goals but it’s fair to say 3/4 were totally our fault, simple things alluding the most senior players such as talking, simple passing and decision making. Second half was a little better however suspect SCC took their foot of the gas somewhat. Josh and Will got on the scores and we limited SCC to just the 3 goals conceded again at least 1 of them could have been stopped. All in all, totally disappointing display where the very basics were severely lacking and we got punished for it. There were a couple who tried and showed some level of commitment but definitely not enough. Rangers next week, let’s see which Casuals team turn up.
It was a lovely Friday in Surrey. I woke up early, dropped my daughter off at school, went to the gym and did some work. At 12:30 pm, I picked my daughter up from school and we had lunch at Pizza Express. My lunch was frequently disturbed by the buzzing of incoming goal alerts on the SCC first team chat; 8 in total.
