Electric Lawro Extinguishes GAS Fire

Hotspurs went into this weekend's game against the Germans feeling refreshed after a weekend off, and this certainly showed in the early stages of the game- energetic, busy and organised all over the park. And it wasn't long before they took the lead- dispossessing their opponents down the left-hand side- Tommy Greene crossing for Guy to deftly finish into the bottom corner. It had been all Hotspurs at this point, but the Germans responded well- equalising shortly afterwards with a close range finish after some smart work on the edge of the box. 1-1 at half-time. The second half was an even affair, but it was Hotspurs' own talisman Roseburgh who broke the deadlock with a crisp, powerful header from man-of-the-match Lawro's whipped corner (can't stop assisting the defenders!). It remained tight for the remainder of the game, but Greene bagged a well-deserved late goal in the last few minutes to seal the victory for Hotspurs. A solid performance from BHFC, who look to carry the momentum into this weekend's game against Purple Monkeys, and a special shout out to the new and returning members of the squad who made an instant impact.

Hotspurs too strong in the end

At the league game, which took place Saturday at 3 pm Hotspurs were playing GAS. GAS played with a new formation, including changes on 5 positions, compared to most of the game in the ongoing season. Without a formal striker and a complete new defence the Germans started the game. In the first couple of minutes the German defence had some problems. A bit unorganized and a lot of passing mistakes helped the opponent after approximately 20 min to take the lead. But this lead did not hold long. 10 min later Basti scored for the Germans to the 1:1. If deserved or just luck can be discussed. The German defence came better and better into the game and so there were no more chances for the Hotspurs. The German team had some more minor changes but nothing which need to be converted into a goal. The second half started like the first ended both team mostly neutralized their selves. Until the 70th minute when Hotspurs again take the lead. But the Germans never gave up and also had some good changes to equalize. Unfortunate in the last 10 min Oscar got cramps and GAS needed sub in an oldie . Knowing that attack is the only way the Germans changed their formation to a 3-5-2. But in the last minute Hotspurs extended their lead to 3:1. Close after the goal the referee ended the game.
