In another game where the Vikings needed to call on youth blended in with some experienced stalwarts, the Vikings put on a great first 25 minute display. Going one up with William finishing really well in his first game as striker. As the game went on, Lions came back into the game. With Vikings losing some ball possession. At the beginning of the second half Lions got the deserved equaliser. Our heads never dropped and Peter won the ball well in midfield to run through and make it 2-1. Lions then scored from a deflected shot from the edge of the box, and the points looked to be shared. However, Tomas found Albert over the top who took it round a outrushing keeper and finished into an empty net. 3-2 Vikings. The best was yet to come, we quickly won the ball back from the Lions kickoff, and Captain Tomas hit a thunderbolt with his left foot into the top left hand corner from just inside the half. 4-2 the final score. Well battled Lions in a well contested match. Thanks to the refs as always.
