We managed to squeeze a match in after the initial rain delay. Fast paced start from both sides in the first half. We moved the ball around well in possession in all parts of the pitch and started creating some chances. Whilst Lions came close themselves on a couple of occasions, we broke the deadlock with a well worked dribble in a tight space within the box from Tom after a dangerous in-swinging corner from Joe. Soon after we got our second after a high press on their defence overturned possession to us with Tom providing a beautiful through-ball for young Mattia to tuck in a tidy finish on his Cosmo Debut. 2-0 at HT. We started the second half with an immediate third goal with Liam finishing a rebound from close range after the keeper couldn't handle Isak's tricky shot. Credit to Lions for coming back at us and getting two goals of their own in a 15-minute spell to make for an entertaining end to the game. Thank you Lions and match officials for a well contested game after a long rain delay before KO.
