SFC bounced back in emphatic style with 11 goals and a clean sheet. The first 30 minutes were fairly uneventful other than for some robust challenges on Liam and Joe upfront. Tom McElligott's ankle was also lucky to survive after one particular tackle. Eventually with SFC having close to 90% of the possession the Hotspurs two low blocks succumbed; Liam breaking the deadlock in the 35th minute. Joe then followed 4 minutes later. SFC went in to the break 2-0 up and firmly in control. Tom carrying a knock was replaced by Tim, whilst Collins dropped in for Nils at the back. 4 minutes after the restart the floodgates opened. Soshi slicing through for his first of the afternoon. Faz then made it 4-0, just 3 minutes later. Joe then added his second to make it 5-0 with 55 minutes played. The next 5 goals came as follows: Soshi after 63 minutes; Rocky scored his debut Cosmo goal a minute later in the 64th. Liam then grabbed his second in the 74th, and Soshi wrapped up his hatrick in the 79th. Joe Claridge the creator, for Soshi, and providing the assist for the fourth time that afternoon. Faz with some silky footwork bagged himself a second goal with 82 minutes played, and a minute later Collins brought an end to proceedings in the 83rd minute scoring SFC's 11th goal of the afternoon. At that stage the referee blew the full time whistle; 6 minutes early. Full time SFC 11 Hotspurs 0. Despite not getting on the scoresheet a special mention to Anthony Garreau, who played a flawless match and Sam Gravatt who slotted straight back in to provide the team's tempo. MOM goes to Joe Claridge for 2 goals and 4 assists although he was run close by Faz, Liam and Soshi who were all outstanding. Thank you to Hotspurs for going ahead with the game, despite clearly being short of a few players. Best of luck for the remainder of the season.
Not a great day for Hotspurs, on the back of a large defeat against Nippon, we struggled to get into the game in the heat. The second half turned sour with the lack of fitness and persistent SFC squad scoring goal after goal resulting in an embarrassing 11-0 scoreline. We go again for the French. Well done SFC
