Not sure how to unpack that game. In what on paper is close to our strongest squad, Vikings took control of the game after 5 or so minutes of the first half. playing some fantastic football and going 2 -0 up. Matthias rising high from a Tomas corner, and Tomas then capatilising on mix up at the back for Gaelic. As the half grew on, so did vikings efforts on goal, with the Gaelic keeper making a superb save to deny both Peter and Alex before the half time whistle was blown. 2-0 Vikings at half time. at the start of the second, more of the same when it comes to missing chances for Vikings, another couple of effort wasted early. Gaelic then took the game and kick into another gear, pouncing on some errors to get back in the game. for 20 minutes of the second half, Gaelic played some great football, and turned the game on its head. going 3-2 in front with 10 minutes to go. As the all or nothing Viking spirit had one more gear to go, and Albert played a lovely ball to Joe who finished well with a couple minutes to go. Rollercoaster of a game, Fair play to Gaelic. Battled really well to get back in it when vikings dipped in second half. And well done to Vikings for not giving up and fighting to the end. Im going for a lie down!!

Fast & furious second half performance from our lads paved the way for a cracking duel with the Vikings on Friday night! We were sluggish in the first half and Vikings took advantage of that. Scoring from a set piece and a communication error from us gifted them a 2-0 half time lead. A rejig in formation and around 5 minutes into the second half we started to play, it was great to see! A deserved penalty got us back into it and we really kicked on! Created chance after chance and got the equalizer after some lovely football down the right, Darragh squared to Boyler who finished with his usual accuracy. Tails up, we kept going with intensity. Dan broke down the right and played a perfect cross to Boyler again, 3-2. One more and we would have been comfortable, but we could not convert. Fair play to Vikings, they did not give up. Scoring late on to ensure both teams got a point. Well done both sets of players and to the officials too!
