After the storm clouds had finally passed Dulwich witnessed a superb SFC team performance against a very well organised FC Nippon. An early penalty from Soshi saw SFC take the lead after 15 minutes. 10 minutes later a well worked move from the training ground was executed. Shotts sucking in 4 Nippon defenders before getting Joe Claridge on the ball, who deftly threaded a ball through to Tom McElligott. Tom with a fair amount to do smashed a thunderous strike from just outside the box leaving the Nippon keeper with no chance. The half time scoreline read: SFC 2 Nippon 0. Second half goals from the two Liams followed; Liam George playing a neat one two on the edge of the box with Luke T. before Liam tucked the ball away. Liam Shotton scored his less than 60 seconds later. Soshi intercepting a loose pass from the restart before crossing for Shotts to do the rest. FULL TIME: 4-0. Standout performances from Jack Cullinane and Liam Shotton (kicked all afternoon as usual), but Tom McElligott with a marauding, all action role in midfield, and a great first half goal gets the Man of the Match nod. Thank you to FC Nippon and the match referees for the game.
