GSAS still waiting for their first points of the season

Gaulois’ goal within the opening minutes of this game suggest the lightning in the area must have wreaked havoc with the goal line technology system at GESS. Despite the 0-1 handicap, GAS played a solid first half. Hamza’s customary moment-of-absolute-madness booking was followed shortly by him capitalizing on a misplaced back pass for 1-1. The French came out stronger in the second half but the match remained a stalemate until a looping cross late in the game lobbed the GAS keeper and landed squarely in the back of the net - crushing any hopes of a season turnaround for the German-Swiss today. After going 3 at the back, GAS’s fate was quickly sealed as Gaulois quickly popped a 3rd, and 4th past a stretched defence during the closing minutes of the game. Despite a poor start to the season, it’s not all doom and gloom as GAS staff remain hopeful that a loan recall from Bielefeld will provide the fresh ideas needed to start claiming points this season. First win of the season

After a difficult beginning of the season, GSC needed to come with different intentions against a physical GSAS team. Kick off had to be slightly delayed due to stormy weather. GSC wanted to kick start strongly putting high pressure. After 2min, a corner well delivered by JB was nicely converted by Anatole with a header. 1-0. GSC kept pushing and managed to have few chances with Victor unfortunately not being able to convert. The game started to get even, with few chances created on both side well deflected by the keepers. As we were heading to half time, JB decided to increase his stats by delivering another perfect assist… to the opponent Hamza for the equializer. 1-1 HALF TIME. GSC proceeded with a few changes with intention to get this first win of the season. During the first 20 min of the second half, GSC took control of the game with defense and midfield blocking GSAS opportunities. 2 clear chances not converted started to create pressure and frustration. The weather was getting hotter and hotter and GSAS started to lose a bit of energy. The game was finally decided in the last 10 minutes when esmar scored on a nice cross. 2 more goals were added on class actions by Clem and Antoine with 2 great assists from Victor. Final score 4-1 Thanks a lot for GSAS for another great fight as usual. Thanks to the refs for managing the game nicely.
