Great comeback

Nothing in this one. Vikings controlled most of the first half and deserved to be 2-1 at half time. All goals came from defensive mistakes with Petsey slotting home confidently from the edge of the box after Ronan pressurised the keeper into a mis-pass. Second half we were much better and controlled most of the second. Vikings still dangerous on the break and resolute at the back. A couple of great saves, a couple of clearances off the line and some goal mouth scrambles...looked like Vikings would hang on. They even had a chance to win it with 3 to go, edge of the box shot coming off the cross bar. But with 2 at the back effectively, the pressure finally paid off. A lovely ball from Ilyas in a tight space, lobbed it over the defender, great touch from Ronan and neat finish. Pretty much last kick of the game. Penalties. We took ours well and Shailer made two great saves. Lottery though and tough luck on Vikings. Fair and tough battle with few incidents. Credit to refs and sportsmanship of our Vikings opponents.
